Happy last day of August & welcome to the first week of September!!! September is here, and with it comes a fresh season of energy at CrossFit Knoxville! We’re kicking things off with a fun new challenge: MAX OUT FRIDAY!!! This is a chance to test your strength, celebrate your hard work, and cheer each other on as we push past limits together. Plus, keep an eye out for our brand-new fall gear! = perfect for repping the community in and out of the gym as the weather cools down. It’s going to be an exciting month, and we can’t wait to “tackle” it with you! Go VOLS! or whatever team you are cheering for this football season LOL!

LET’S CHAT MAX OUT FRIDAY…

There are 2 divisions (scaled & RX). There will be 4 barbells used during the event. The women’s side will be starting their snatches at 35lbs (scaled) and 85lbs (RX). The men’s side will be starting their snatches at 45lbs (scaled) and 135 (RX). Once the snatches are completed the clean and jerks will begin. The women’s side will be starting their clean and jerks at 35lbs (scaled) and 125lbs (RX). The men’s side will be starting their clean and jerks at 45lbs (scaled) and 185 (RX).

Warm-up will begin at 5 pm (the completion of the last class of the day). The event will begin at 5:30 pm. The bars will be set at the starting weights and climb. You will begin when your starting weight is on the bar. Each athlete has 3 attempts on each of the lifts (snatches & clean and jerks). The athelete with the highest total will be considered the winner in each of the divisions = 2 female winners & 2 male winners!!!

Prize: the 4 winners will each get to choose a favorite new Fall gear item of their choice 🙂
