"I joined CFK in October. I really had no idea what to expect. I had previously thought that CrossFit was synonymous with “getting injured.”"

don’t know if I had gone to another CrossFit gym that I would have joined, or kept going. CrossFit Knoxville gets the important things right; and those things keep me coming back every week.
The environment of CFK-North is welcoming and friendly. Not only are the participants welcoming to newcomers, but the coaches go out of their way to make sure new folks feel welcome and comfortable. I have been delighted at the community feel of CFK-North
I was so worried when I first stepped into CFK that I wouldn’t know what I was doing and wouldn’t be able to figure it out. I very much underestimated the quality of coaching that you could get in a group fitness class. Eric, Cassidy and Kate set a high bar for any future coaches I may encounter. I mention them as they are most frequently at the classes I attend; not that I am trying to short any coach I have encountered at CFK, because they have all been top notch. Every time I walk out of a CFK class I feel that I have learned something new about form, a new skill, improving/building on an old skill, or what I can achieve in the gym. I am so appreciative of all the help I have received from the coaches. I am very much impressed with their ability to work a group fitness class and provide not only group instruction but meaningful critique to individual participants.
I would also note, this is one of the most welcoming gym environments I have been in for women. It isn’t uncommon for a woman to walk into a weight room and gets stares, comments or just a feeling of “not belonging.” CFK is filled with powerful, strong women, who support one another. Coach Cassidy and Coach Kate provide inspiration to the women they coach (and I am sure some of the guys too). They are strong, athletic, and positive.
So long story short, I congratulate you and your team on building a pretty awesome gym.
